EPISODE ONE: RING OF FIRE The series premiere of the new deadpan comedy web series, BOTSWANA, USA. A series about two worn out employees, Martha and Brionne, of the Zulu Inn in Francistown, Botswana, and the endless encounters they face amidst the cultural differences of the tourists who dwell there. After a few racially suggestive gifts and one particular resident who can't even say, "Thank You" after she brings him the sheets he asked for, Martha goes off the deep end. This episode is dedicated to Fela Kuti, with a complete soundtrack of his work.

I am running out of local places to capture, but found this (Kelsey Creek Farm) on the city of Bellevue website and decided to check it out. I am amazed by all the different parks in this city; it really is a beautiful place. I am trying to capture the moods of different locations with the nature videos that I've done, starting with The Rise and Fall of Autumn (the feel of living out in the country with that western wind.), A World Within Itself (filmed in the Bellevue Botanical Gardens with an alienated feel of a world within itself. I wanted it to feel foreign with an estranged sense of anxiety.), Dog Days (I'm not really sure what mood I was going for in this, it wasn't the setting; possibly more the emotion that came about, sort of a melancholy approach to childhood with a dazed sentiment.), and now we have Farmology (I wanted to capture the environment in a way that made you feel as though you were apart of it. A portal into the strange world of animals.) Shot with the XH-A1 using the Letus Extreme 35mm adapter and a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens. This is my second day out with the Letus Extreme, just getting a feel for it before using it professionally.
